Splash Damage Hires Industry Veterans

Splash Damage, the developer of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, has hired four game industry veterans to work on their announced multiplatform project. Atleast Splash Damage was smart enough to acknowledge how inadequate they are when it comes to developing great games. Maybe the four hired veterans will add another cheek to their half-ass work. Maybe?

Ubisoft Pirates RELOADED Crack

Probably the most unbelievable (not in literal terms) piece of gaming industry news you’ve heard. Ubisoft stole the Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 crack from the famed group RELOADED and allegedly released it as a No-CD fix for their D2D customers. Examining the .exe file revealed the “RELOADED” tag.

Bravo Ubisoft, you’ve outdone yourself in douchebaggery.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 DLC Details

Ubisoft is bringing some delicious free DLC for Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. The new content includes three new maps, more ranks and increased difficulty. More details below:

Scheduled for release in July via Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION Network and ubi.com, this content package will enrich and extend the original game by offering three new multiplayer maps. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 v1.01 Patch Released

Ubisoft Montreal has released the first patch for their tactical FPS, Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Release notes below:

* Added Voice Chat Support
* Pressing F5 now refreshes the match search list
* Fix for spawn camping
* Switch weapon is now faster in adversarial
* Lower respawn timer for deathmatch and team deathmatch
* Added Team balance XP penalty
* Enabled outfitting option in observer mode.
* Team Leader respawn modification: Respawning with the leader is now the default option

Spring 2008 Upcoming Games Preview

FiringSquad has a preview of all the upcoming spring games that are just few weeks away from release. The list includes both PC and console (arrgh!) titles. Some of the titles they selected, include Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, PC version of Assassin’s Creed and many more. Interestingly, the PC version of Mass Effect is missing from the list. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Delayed

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 on PC has been pushed from it’s original release date of 28th march to April 17th. As of now, Ubisoft hasn’t given any reason why the title has been delayed. Perhaps Ubisoft wanted to see if the pirates can leak the title like Assassin’s Creed? ;)
