Video game publisher Gamecock Media Group announced today that it has finalized a new partnership with GameTap, the Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.) network that is a leader in digital game distribution and broadband entertainment. Steam Gets Erected with GameCock

Valve’s ever increase Steam titles library will now feature games from Gamecock Media Group. Valve and Gamecock have tied up to provide games such as Legendary, Insecticide, Stronghold: Crusade on Steam.

Gamecock Media Group and Valve today announced an agreement to launch Gamecock titles on Steam. The first Gamecock titles available on Steam will be Firefly Studios’ Stronghold Crusader Extreme and Insecticide Part 1.

Additional Gamecock titles - including Insecticide Parts 2, Velvet Assassin, and Legendary - will be made available via Steam later this year.

European pre-orders for the downloadable PC version of highly anticipated action survival game Alone in the Dark are open now at www.atari-store.com.

Buy the game for €49.99 and get free bonus content of two music tracks from the game’s official soundtrack composed by Olivier Deriviere, and parts 1 and 2 of the making of documentary feature in which the team at Eden Games reveal the secrets behind this landmark videogame production.

Fans who pre-order will be able to pre-load the game 24 hours before the official release date, and will receive the activation key shortly after midnight on the day of launch making them among the first to be able to play Alone in the Dark.

Crysis Warhead Officially Announced, EXCLUSIVE to PCs

After the teaser site, Electronic Arts have officially announced the sequel to Crysis; Crysis Warhead. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures Tops PC Sales Charts

Funcom’s MMO is doing really well in sales, infact, Age of Conan is now No.1 best selling title on the PC platform in Germany, UK, Australia, Italy, Sweden, Norway and Spain. Impressive.

Funcom is proud to announce that Age of Conan rises to number 1 on the PC charts, and the game even competes very well on the all-format lists. The normal edition is now sold out in many outlets due to the initial success of the game, and Funcom aims to resupply new boxes as fast as possible. With more than half a million customers, Age of Conan is already one of the biggest ever western MMO games, and this happens just a week after launch.

Battlefield 2142 - v1.50 Patch Released

EA has released the final version of v1.50 patch for Battlefield 2142. Changelog and download links below:

- Added community maps, Wake Island 2142 and Operation Shingle

- Added the ability to use widescreen resolutions.

- Added No Vehicles mode.

- Added Conquest Assault mode.

- Changed the volume control for the Commander Voice Over on request of the esports community.

- Changes made to pod steering mechanism to improve control while limiting pod surfing.

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures drops support for DirectX10

The upcoming MMORPG Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, has reportedly dropped the DirectX10 renderer for launch. Funcom says the DirectX10 version has been pushed back to add more polish & features. “worthy of Microsoft’s great vision for the future of PC gaming”.

The DirectX10 version will make it’s debut in August 2008 in Games Convention. A preview will be shown in nVIDIA’s nVISION event on August 27-28, 2008.
