2K Games Announces Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Colonization

Sid Meier’s Classic title Colonization is getting a remake as a stand-alone title. Developed by Firaxis Games, Colonization will take advantage of Civilization IV game engine. The game is scheduled to ship in Fall 2008, exclusively on PCs.

2K Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., announced today that Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Colonization, the next offering in the award-winning Civilization IV universe, is currently in development at 2K’s world-renowned Firaxis Games development studio. Conceived from the ground up to take advantage of the Civilization IV engine, Colonization will be available fall 2008 exclusively for Games for Windows.

GFI Signs Upcoming Adventure Games from Daedalic Entertainment

Game Factory Interactive, one of the leading publishers in the Russian game market, and German developer/publisher Daedalic Entertainment announced today that they have entered into an agreement that will see GFI publishing three upcoming adventure game titles from Daedalic in Russia, former USSR countries and the Baltic Region.

Titles signed by GFI for publishing in these territories include A New Beginning, The Whispered World and Edna & Harvey: The Breakout. All three titles will be released for Windows PC.

The Reawakening Starts Closed Beta Testing

It’s time to get busy! The Reawakening, Swedish online game developer Lockpick Entertainment’s follow-up to last year’s acclaimed MMO debut title Dreamlords, is commencing the Closed Beta test in exclusive co-operation with FilePlanet.com, a part of the IGN Entertainment network. Read more

Witches - New Screenshots

We’ve got new screenshots of this (rather obscure) third person action adventure game from spanish games developer Revistronic. In Witches, you play a girl, Tabitha, who is the only one who can destroy the Beast, a creature from the underworld that, together with a horde of freaks, destroyed the Earth. Women replaced men in the battle, as the latter have been almost exterminated in the past. The women in Witches are also keen on wearing ridiculously revealing outfits. (not that anyone’s complaining, mind you) Witches is scheduled to ship in 2008 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox360. Witches is exclusively being licensed by Schanz International Consultants who are currently looking for world-wide publishers for the title.
