According to Variety.com, upcoming game-to-movie adoption Prince of Persia: Sands of Time will start shooting in mid-june in morroco. Here’s a snip:
“Producers are always looking for cheap places to shoot and Morocco is one of them,” said Dune Films’ Jimmy Abounouom, who is repping the Moroccan shoot for Disney.
Epic project is a live-action feature based on the videogame. “Prince of Persia” has a script by Jeffrey Nachmanoff (”The Day After Tomorrow”) and vidgame creator Jordan Mechner. The vidgame spawned six installments and numerous spin-offs, boosting Disney execs’ hopes for a lucrative new tentpole.
Choice of Morocco as a shooting location will be a boost for the North African country’s film biz.
Starcraft II: NO In-game ads
Oh the silly game execs, always spreading false and misleading information! Yesterday we reported that Activision’s CEO Robert Kotick thinks Starcraft II can be the game that really pushes in-game advertising, Blizzard’s latest public statement contradicts that. Blizzard fansite BlizzPlanet was contacted by Blizzard to clarify, according to BigB themselves:
“We have no plans to have in-game advertising in StarCraft II. We believe Bobby was actually referring to Battle.net, which has always included ads.”
So there you have it, no in-game ads in Starcraft II…aren’t you glad?
