Resident Evil 5 Confirmed for PCs, Coming 2009

Capcom’s highly anticipated zombie shooter Resident Evil 5 has been confirmed to be released for PCs. In a release schedule released by Capcom, Resident Evil 5 PC version is highlighted having a March 13th, 2009 release date. PC version will see a simotaneous launch with its console counterparts. Let’s hope Capcom is smart enough to release Resident Evil 5 on Steam.

Capcom Gives Love to PCs

The company that brought us the very first DirectX10 title has now decided to kill platform exclusivity and focus more on the PC platform. Capcom revealed this bit of info in their 90-page financial report. In the whole PCGamingAlliance, Capcom is probably the only developer that is actually making any progress. Silent Hill: Homecoming Announced

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has confirmed the eagerly-awaited Silent Hill: Homecoming title for PLAYSTATION®3 and Xbox 360 will be released in November, while also confirming a PC-DVD version of the game to be shipped simultaneously.

The sixth installment in the landmark horror series, Silent Hill: Homecoming introduces Alex Shepherd, as the latest hero to become trapped within the mist-shrouded town. Alex has returned to his hometown of Shepherd’s Glen to investigate the sudden disappearance of his younger brother Joshua. In a journey that takes him from Shepherd’s Glen to Silent Hill, Alex must face the darkest of horrors in order to find his brother. As reality merges with the macabre, Alex will fight for his life against dark misshapen creatures and unravel a series of puzzles before the disappearance of his brother can be understood.

Silent Hill Homecoming marks the first appearance of the chilling series for PLAYSTATION®3 and Xbox 360, and is brought to life with stunningly detailed visuals. The PC-DVD version will be identical in all respects, with the game’s new monsters, twisting plot and all-pervading sense of evil combining to create a game that delivers scares and action with ease. Alex must survive attacks from the misshapen denizens of the town using an all-new enhanced combat system featuring attacks and counters, while a haunting score by acclaimed series composer Akira Yamaoka accompanies the unfolding action.

Bionic Command Rearmed Hits Retail

Capcom’s remake of the classic 8-bit title has hit the retail shelves in North America. Available on PC, PlayStation 3 as well as Xbox360. The PC version is priced at $14.99.

Devil May Cry 4 PC Demo & Benchmark Tool Released

Capcom has released the PC demo of Devil May Cry 4; The latest in Devil May Cry franchise. Alongside the demo, Capcom has also released Devil May Cry 4 Benchmark tool that allows one to stress their system with DirectX9 and DirectX10 graphics.

The demo is 10 minutes long, looks visually solid and includes a boss fight!
