After all the wait, Kaos Studios has finally released (or rather, “leaked”) the BETA demo of their buggy fps; Frontlines: Fuel of War. Why release a BETA demo? No clue. The BETA demo includes Oilfield and GNAW maps and contains the latest v1.1.1 code. Note that this is a BETA demo and when the “final” version comes out, you may have to uninstall/reinstall it. Speaking at Ubidays 08 with Videogamer.com, Randy Pitchford of Gearbox Software has confirmed a demo for their upcoming FPS; Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway. The release date for the demo is unsure, but the retail version is set to ship out in August 2008.

“We’ve had Brothers in Arms games before,” he said. “People know what the brand is about. In general we’ve got a reasonable amount of trust. There’s a lot of people who know that they want the game and they’re just tired of waiting and they want us to get it out as soon as possible so we’re focusing on that. But there are some other folks who might be new to us, they don’t know if they should trust us yet or maybe they haven’t played a Brothers in Arms game before. We’ll get around to a demo for them and we’ve got it in our plans for that.”

Capcom has released the PC demo of Devil May Cry 4; The latest in Devil May Cry franchise. Alongside the demo, Capcom has also released Devil May Cry 4 Benchmark tool that allows one to stress their system with DirectX9 and DirectX10 graphics.

The demo is 10 minutes long, looks visually solid and includes a boss fight!

WorthPlaying has the word that the demo of Codemaster’s Race Driver: GRID will swinging by next week.

GRID takes players to locations over three continents to compete in a variety of racing events. Packed with the most powerful racecars - new and classic, circuit and drift - players will compete in urban street races, as well as conquer official racetracks and championships. The demo will feature 3 races, Muscle Cup in San Francisco with a mustang GT-R, Advan drift Trophy on the docks of Yokohama with a Nissan S15 Silvia, and a BMW 320Si in Jarama.

Speaking with Eurogamer.net, Pete Hines of Bethesda Softworks has confirmed there will be NO demo for Fallout 3. Check out the full quote below:

“When you build it as one thing, there’s no way to portion off a section and have it stand on its own without putting the whole game in the demo, which we’re just not going to do. And it doesn’t really capture the fun of a game like an Elder Scrolls or a Fallout, where you can go where you want and do what you want. So no demo, sorry.”
