Sam Fisher will be late on his latest assignment as Ubisoft’s latest quarterly report has confirmed the rumored (now final) delay of Splinter Cell: Conviction. The game will now be sneaking into your PCs/consoles in 2009/2010. Bad luck, Sam.
− Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, whose release was previously scheduled for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008-09, will now bolster the line-up for fiscal 2009-10.

Splash Damage, the developer of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, has hired four game industry veterans to work on their announced multiplatform project. Atleast Splash Damage was smart enough to acknowledge how inadequate they are when it comes to developing great games. Maybe the four hired veterans will add another cheek to their half-ass work. Maybe?

Kiefer Sutherland, notable for being “Jack Bauer” in FOX’s blockbuster series; 24 has signed up to voice act one of the main characters in Call of Duty: World at War. With Sutherland’s talent and the distinct voice, you’d be hard pressed to find a better actor for the role.

Resonance-Gaming today released its midyear report on PC video games within the next 6 months. The report combines data from several external sources to provide a simplified data analysis.
Contained within the data are the four main topics which will affect gamers in the next 6 months. This includes Game Genre Distribution, which is the generalized chart using 10 games in each month leading up the end of the year. id Software’s latest project, RAGE, will be published by EA. More details of RAGE will be made available in QuakeCon 2008.
EA has signed an agreement to publish RAGE, the next blockbuster from id Software, the inventors of the first person shooter. Built on the id Tech5 engine, RAGE will be released on the PLAYSTATION(R)3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360(TM) videogame and entertainment system from Microsoft, PC and Macintosh(R) computers.
