No, you haven’t rifted in time through a wormhole and this is not 2000… Valve has updated Counter Strike 1.6 to include the fancy new Steamworks support. This is similar to what Valve did with Day of Defeat: Source. Full details below:

To install the beta, run the command steam://install/150.
